WhatsApp group is definitely a great way to connect and talk with your friends and family members, but obviously you do not want to be added to every group. WhatsApp has given users the option that they can now choose, who will be able to add them to the group. If you do not want to be added to any group without your wish, this can be done by changing some settings. Till now, anyone could add users to the WhatsApp group and no user permission was required for this.

There is also an option for no one else to add you to groups in the messaging app owned by Facebook. Until now, after the ad was added to the group, the users had the option to leave it, but in such a situation, the number of people already in the group saw their number. You can already choose who can add you to the group. Before going to the steps, tell that for this you must have the latest version of WhatsApp and the app needs to be updated.

On android
To turn on the feature, you have to go to WhatsApp settings. Here, tap on the account and go to the privacy section and open the grouped option. At the end here, you select ‘My Contacts except for’. By default, it is selected on everyone. After this, you mark ‘select all’ as seen in the top right corner. Once selected, they will become contact red mark. After this, you will not be able to add to a group, and only after inviting the invitation, you will be added to the group.

On iPhone
To enable the feature on iOS devices you have to go to WhatsApp settings. Here, tap on the account and go to the privacy section and select the option containing groups. After this, you will see the options Everyone, My Contacts, and My Contacts Except. After selecting the third option, you have to mark the Select All checkbox and no one will be able to add to the groups without sending you an invitation.
